Cycling with motorbiker バイク乗りと一緒にサイクリング

We went to Auroville by bike today. Last time, we couldn’t find Auroville, but we made it today!! (see Feb 5th’s blog.) The Japanese motorbike girl really enjoyed riding a bicycle rather than her motorcycle because she could see the view in much more detail at the slower pace. When she rides her motorbike, the view passes by very quickly. Of course, we enjoyed cycling, too. (Thank you, Chris!) Auroville was kind of a nice town, I think. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get in the “Matrimandir”. wanted see “probably the most biggest crystal in the world”. :-P On the way back, we went to the beach and swam in the ocean!!


今日は自転車でオーロビル行きに再挑戦！（２月５日のブログ参照）
前回は結局オーロビルを見付けれなかった・・・ でも今回は大丈夫！ビーチに行った時に、オーロビルの看板見付けたから！
日本人バイカーは自転車に乗ることがすごく久し振りみたいで、すごく喜んでた。
バイクだとスピードが速いから景色があまりゆっくり見れないらしい。
でも、自転車だとゆっくり景色が見れて、サイクリングを楽しんでる！
もちろん、私達もエンジョイしたよ、サイクリング！（クリスありがとう！お疲れさん！私後ろに乗ってるだけだったから。でもなかなか後ろの座席に座ってるだけでもきついもんだよ。乗り心地よくないし・・・）
オーロビルはまあまあだったかな。
残念ながら「世界一大きな水晶」という言われるものは見れなかった。

Meeting again!! 再会！！

The Japanese motorbike girl came to see us today!! We haven’t seen her since Varanasi, last X’mas. She traveled to Nepal, Bangladesh and then back to India again. She came to see us after visiting Kannyakumari (Cape Comorin) which is in the very south of India. We were very happy to see her again.

今日、クリスマスにバラナシで別れた日本人バイカーが、ポンディチェリーにいる私らに会いに来てくれた。
彼女はバラナシの後、ネパール、バングラディッシュを走り、再びインドに入り、インドの最南端カニャークマリ（コモリン岬）に行き、その帰りに私らの所に寄ってくれた。
再会できてすごくうれしかった！＾０＾！

I wore a sari(Indian woman's traditional clothes). I had chatted a few times with a girl named Uma, who warks in our guest house. She offered to bring in a sari for me to try on. She brought a yellow sari and showed me how to put it on. A sari is a single piece of cloth about 1.25m x 6m. To wear it, you have to wrap it around you a few times, and fold it into pleats in some places. A sari is easir to wear than a Japanese kimono for sure. Afterwards, she offered to bring in her special silk sari. I got to try that one on, too. I was very excited. I makes me want to buy a sari!

今日はなんと！！サリー(インドとネパールの民族衣装)を着たよ！
私らの泊まっているゲストハウスで働いている女性と仲良くなり、彼女がサリーを着せてくれた。
思ってたよりなかなかいいカンジ！
着るのはなかなか難しいけれど、日本の着物より断然簡単。
サリーは約６ｍ×１.２５ｍの一枚の布で、器用にひだを作り巻いていく。
ロングスカートだから暑い暑い！！
女性のほとんどはこのサリーを毎日着ている。
さぞ暑かろうに・・・
